What an adorable picture to start out with! Never been on a blog b4 so I am not sure exactly what it is used for, but I have a question that you might be able to help with. Do people hire photographers to cover things like class reunions? And if so, how do they get paid? Is there a base fee to cover the engagement and then whatever the photographer charges people who want pictures?
Yes, people hire photographers to cover class reunions. There are two ways of doing it:
1) Pay the photographer a flat fee and then pay a fee per print/image ordered.
2) Photographer takes pictures of the event free and then charges a slightly higher per-print price for each image.
Depending on what size group you are working with, you might want to choose your photographer accordingly. Small groups with a limited budget may want to choose option 2, while a group with a larger budget would probably choose to utilize the first option.
Also, check to see if the photographer retains all rights to the images, or if those images could be used by your group in the future.

Hi Tammy,

Hope that helps!
