ANNOUNCING… “Just the Girls” Session!

As a young woman with some really close friends and family, I just love photos.  I particularly love photos of me with my girlfriends, sister, and mom.

That’s where the idea for “Just the Girls” was born.  If you are graduating high school and want one great memory of your friends before leaving for college, are getting married and remembering your last days as a single woman, or just want to celebrate a lifetime of strong friendships, this is the session for you!

The details:

1) Choose your location

2) Choose your girls

3) Have fun, and I will capture those memories forever!

4) Sessions cost $15 per person, minimum of $50 per session.

After the session, all images will be placed in an online album for all of your girls to view!  Each person will also receive a 5×7 print at no charge.  Additional prints available for purchase.

Customized photo books will be available for purchase.  These can be customized for any budget, starting at $20.  Please ask for more details.   Gift certificates for this session are available!  This makes a great graduation, engagement, or birthday gift for that important someone in your lives.

Sample Custom Printed Photo Albums

I’ve had a few phone calls recently concerning the albums I offer.  To give my clients a better idea of what I offer, I’m posting a few photos of my album products.

Currently I offer two sizes of albums: 11.25″ x 8.75″ (regular) and 15″ x 11.5″ (deluxe).  They are hardcover with a choice of linen, leather, and dust jacket covers.  Inside, they are personalized with your name, event, and the date.  The examples shown below are both the regular size and from recent weddings.  The first one is the dust jacket, and the last two are leather covers.

Also, for those of you who don’t need quite that big of an album, I do offer a smaller soft-cover album.  This smaller album is perfect for senior portraits, children sessions, and my newest package: “Just the Girls” session.  Please email me for more details on any of these sessions.

New Photo CD Packaging

I’m pleased to announce the latest and greatest new item in Images Of Distinction’s product line.  Those of you with a qualifying session will be receiving this nifty new keepsake CD tin with a personalized label.  Check it out, and let me know what you think!

I’m debating offering clients a personalized slideshow on CD.  It would have some of the best images from your session and would be set to music.  If you think that’s something you might be interested in, please let me know and I’ll start trying out different slideshow software.

Snow day- by Mr. Images Of Distinction

Hi Everyone!  In the last 5 days, we’ve had over 20 inches of snow!  Today my husband, also known as Mr. Images Of Distinction, took my camera on his morning commute.  He’s been taking an interest in learning how to take landscape photos and this is what he came up with today.  Stay tuned for more Mr. IOD photos!  And for those of you getting married this summer, he’s planning on assisting me at a few of your weddings.

Jen and Justin- a bit overdue

Last month I had a chance to visit with my best friend, Jen.  She is engaged to be married this June, and I was able to take engagement photos of her and Justin.  They live in Virginia right now because he’s in the Navy (I used to work with both of them on the USS Barry) but I’ve got both fingers and all my toes crossed they come back to Wisconsin this fall.

These photos are being posted pretty late, but as they say: “better late than never”, right?  Here are a few of their photos taken in Tomah, WI.  Jen and I will be doing a bridal shoot in April when I go out there to visit her.  Stay tuned for more!

The happiest couple I’ve ever met- Jessica and Zeke

jessica-zeke-045-1.jpg

Today I photographed the happiest couple ever: Jessica and Zeke.  Some of you may remember Jess from my booth at the Wedding Expo in La Crosse this January.  She was a such a great help, so it was great to spend time with her and her fiancee today.

After an interesting lunch at a sports pub, we headed downtown and to a park on the river for these great shots.

Their photos turned out wonderful!  Sneak peak photo is above, and their album can be viewed at:

I’ll be photographing their wedding in October of 2009.  I’m sure time will fly between now and then.

A cold day for engagement photos!

brad-kassie-015-1.jpgToday I met with Kassie and Brad for an engagement session.  We bummed around Viroqua and went to several sites- the courthouse, downtown, and the old abandoned swimming pool building.  They were up for pretty much anything (sorry about the cold and wet feet, guys!) so their pictures turned out great!  The temperature was about 15 degrees, but they still went climbing through snow banks, sitting on cold cement, and parading down Viroqua’s Historic Main Street… such good sports!

Aren’t they cute?  Their photos can be viewed at: http://imagesofdistinction.smugmug.com/gallery/4344357_CcN47#254874533

Their wedding isn’t until 2012… that’s the longest engagement I’ve heard of yet!  Congratulations!
